New! Spicy Za'atar
My new za'atar spice takes the traditional blend of imported Lebanese wild thyme, sumac, toasted sesame seeds, and fine sea salt and spices things up with a hit of cayenne pepper. The flavor is bright, tangy, and nutty with a satisfying heat. Try spicy za'atar stirred into good extra-virgin olive oil as a topping for Lebanese flatbread, or simply as a dip for pita bread. Recipes and tips are in my acclaimed Rose Water & Orange Blossoms Lebanese cookbook, and at MaureenAbood.com.
